Requirements & License Overview

To become a licensed Salesperson in Hawaii, you must first complete 60 hours of State approved real estate education. After you will need to pass both your national and state portions of testing.

You will need 20 hours of continuing education (CE) every 2 years.

Salesperson License Requirements
  • Be at least 18
  • Have a current Hawaii School Completion Certificate or an original Prelicensing Education Equivalency Certificate for Real Estate License Ecamination
  • Complete 60 Hours of Hawaii Real Estate Commission approved education
  • Pass both state and national portions of exams
  • Complete your application with appropriate fee
  • Have previously disclosed any history of criminal activity to the Hawaii Real Estate Commission and recieved approval from the board if the their has been criminal conviction(s) in your passed
