Requirements To Complete

Certification Overview

Servers in establishments that sell alcohol are required to obtain certification. In California, it’s called the Responsible Beverage Service program. Classes must be live-streamed where the trainer has live interaction with the students, even though the class is held online. The objective of the Alcohol Vendor program is to improve public health and safety, establish a professional standard for hospitality services, improve business viability, and increase quality of life in the neighboring community.

The benefits to completing training include being able to hire servers from a wider base of people in the area, the ability to effectively manage the alcohol consumption of patrons in the establishment, and being more prepared to protect yourself from problem situations such as lawsuits and accidents.
