Texas Food Handler Certification$10.99
This course has been approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services and satisfies the training requirement. Topics include but not limited to:

Establishments that serve food in Texas are required to have all personnel who come into contact with food be trained as a food handler. Our course is fully approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services for 2 Hours of education.
Requirements To Complete
Food handlers are required to obtain certification. In Texas, there are two levels of certification, the food protection manager certification and the food handlers’ certification. Every employee who comes into contact with food must be trained as a food handler. Training is valid for two years. The objectives of the food manager’s training program in Texas is to educate the food handlers, which provides more qualified employees, thereby reducing the risk of foodborne illness caused by improper food preparation and handling techniques.
The benefits to completing training include being able to become a food service manager, or the person in charge of the food service in a given establishment. Many employers will require this training prior to advancement. Certifications are good for three years, at which point the training must be taken again to receive a new card.
