Servers in establishments that sell alcohol are required to obtain certification. In Utah, there are two types of training: off premise and on premise. The objectives of the alcohol server program in Utah are to improve public health and safety, establish a professional standard for hospitality services, improve business viability, and increase quality of life in the neighboring community.
