About This License
A Residential Framing License covers the construction, installation or repair of frames and concrete form-work for homes. To become a licensed residential framing contractor in the state of Louisiana, you are required to pass a closed-book exam. We offer the recommended books, tabs, and a fully online and inclusive educational course to prepare you to sit for the Louisiana Concrete exam.
Requirements to Obtaining Your License
- Please note that the Business and Law examination is required for licensure in the State of Louisiana.

Exam Details
Residential Framing (Subcontract Labor Only) Exam
- 50 questions with a 2-hour time limit
- Exam fee is $125
- Topics include: Bracing, Estimation, Blueprints, Specifications, Formwork for Concrete Slabs, and Safety.
