This license covers electrical work under $25,000 per job. Those who work in counties having a codes office, which performs their own inspections (such as Davidson/Nashville, Hamilton County, City of Chattanooga, Shelby/Memphis, Knox, Knoxville, City of Franklin, etc.), licensing and testing, the LLE is not accepted.Exam Prep Course

Exam Details
- The testing company is PSI (1-800-733-9267)
- 40 questions and a 2-hour time limit
- 72.5% is required to pass the exam
- Topics on the exam include
- general knowledge and electrical installation requirements;
- services, feeders, and branch circuits;
- overcurrent protection;
- grounding and bonding;
- conductors and cables; raceways and boxes;
- hazardous locations, special occupancies, and special equipment;
- low voltage, alarms, signaling systems, and communications;
- lighting, and signs and general use equipment.

Applying For Your License
In order to obtain the Limited Licensed Electrician (LLE) license, the LLE trade exam is required. Submit a copy of your passing exam score with your completed LLE License Application, with the two year license fee of $50.00.Complete the online application, attach scanned exam scores, photo-ID, and submit with payment by credit or debit card.
