Does a handyman need a contractors license in Texas?
According to Texas state law, there is no state license for a contractors license. Thus, there is no state regulated handyman license either. However, as general contracting is regulated at the local level, many cities do have their own rules and laws regarding repelis and maintenance. For example, San Antonio requires an application, a completed background check, and a small fee before you can legally provide services.
