Requirements to Fulfill Florida Barber Continuing Education (2 Hours)

To renew their license in Florida, barbers must complete two hours of continuing education every two years: 

  • Course: The course must be on HIV/AIDS and approved by the state.
  • Completion: The course must be completed by July 31st of the even year before the license expires.
  • Renewal: The license must be renewed on the DBPR MyFloridaLicense website before it expires.

The DBPR will notify licensees by email when the renewal period is open, usually 90–120 days before the expiration date.
