Requirements to Fulfill Georgia Plumbing Continuing Education (4 Hours)
In Georgia, plumbing licensees must complete continuing education (CE) to renew their license:
- Hours required
- Licensees must complete four hours of CE per year, for a total of eight hours every two years.
- License renewal timeline
- Licensees who have had their license for less than two years must complete four hours of CE before renewal. Licensees who have had their license for less than one year at the time of renewal are not required to complete CE.
- Course topics
- CE courses can cover topics such as plumbing installation, design, state codes, products, innovations, tools, materials, safety, and work-related legal issues
- Documentation
- Licensees must provide documentation of attendance and satisfactory completion of their CE courses.
- Audits
- Licensees may be randomly selected for an audit of their completed CE hours.
