Massachusetts Business and Law (Master Electrician and Systems Contractor Part II) Contractor License

Master Electrician

  • Requirements: Must have a Massachusetts Journeyman license, at least 1 year of work experience, and 150 hours of Board-approved education.

Systems Technician Exam

  • Education: 300 hours of Board-approved education.
  • Continuing Education: 15-hour Code-Update Class.
  • Experience: 4,000 hours of work over at least 2 years under a licensed Massachusetts Systems Technician or Journeyman Electrician.

The Massachusetts Business and Law (Master Electrician and Systems Contractor Part II) Exam is an open book 120-minute exam that requires a 70% score to pass. To use your time efficiently in the exam, it is extremely helpful to prepare in-depth and have your book tabbed and highlighted prior to the exam.
