Contractors that have been continuously licensed as a residential contractor for 6 or more years will have 8 hours of residential continuing education required during the 2-year licensing period. 3 Hours can be accomplished through the CCB. Requirements to Fulfill Oregon Residential "5 Hour" Series A Course

The state of Oregon requires Residential license holders  to meet the following guidelines in order to renew their license:

Unless exempt, all re​sidential contractors need the following continuing education every two-year license period: ​

  • 3 hours of CCB laws, regulations and business practices classes (provided by the CCB)  PLUS
  • 5 hours of other approved courses if you have been licensed by the CCB six or more  years OR
  • 13 hours of other approved courses if you have been licensed by the CCB less than six years

Note: You will not get credit for more than three hours of CCB classes.

Oregon Residential Contractors  are required to obtain continuing education for each renewal. Complete our online training / continuing education to renew your license.
