Requirements To Obtain a Tennessee Mechanical HVAC/Refrigeration (TN CMC-C) Contractor License
The following steps must be completed:
- Step 1: TESTING: Schedule your exam(s); Pass with a 73% or higher
- Step 2: Fill out your application, (within the application you will find the following forms to complete):
- FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Contact a Licensed CPA/PA
- LETTER OF REFERENCE
- PROOF OF INSURANCE
- CORPORATIONS AND LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANIES
- Complete Application / Experience / Affidavit (Sign and Notarized)
- Step 3: Application Process – $250.00 Licensing Fee and submit to the state.
*The Business and Law Exam must be passed to become a licensed contractor.
