Requirements to Fulfill Virginia Gasfitter 2021 Code Update Continuing Education (1 Hour)
In Virginia, gas fitters must complete one hour of continuing education every time they renew their license:
- License expiration
- Gas fitter licenses expire on the last day of the month every three years. For example, if a license was issued on April 4, 2020, it would expire on April 30, 2023.

- The continuing education course for gas fitters must cover the International Fuel Gas Code.
