For Licensing Questions To Obtain a West Virginia Concrete Contractor License
West Virginia law requires that each business operating in the construction industry be licensed. To become licensed, a company representative must demonstrate competency by passing the required exam(s) in the field of construction for which licensure is being sought. A company can have multiple qualifiers.
Board regulations require that qualifying individual(s) taking an exam be an owner, a partner, a corporate officer, or a full-time employee of the entity seeking licensure.

The West Virginia Concrete Contractor Exam is an open book 180-minute exam that requires a 70% score to pass. To use your time efficiently in the exam, it is extremely helpful to prepare in-depth and have your book tabbed and highlighted prior to the exam. Highlighting, tabs and written notes in reference materials are permitted prior to arriving at the test site. However, during the exam you may not write in the reference materials.
