This course is made up of a detailed presentation that takes you through all the information you will need to pass the exam on your first try.
All electrical work in Georgia requires a license and pre-approval from the state is required to sit for the examination. An applicant must be 21 years old and be able to document 4 years of experience. We offer review for the electrical exam in an online training format. The course includes highlighting guides, practice tests, theory, calculations, instructor support and test taking tips/strategies. How Do I Get My License?

- Pass the exam.
- Submit your application, licensing fee and proof of insurance.
Requirements To Get A License
All electrical work in Georgia requires a license.
- Pre-approval from the state is required to sit for the examination.
- A separate Georgia Business and Law exam is NOT required to be passed.
- An applicant must be 21 years old and be able to document 4 years of experience.
- If you should fail the exam twice, you must complete a state approved training course before testing again.

Applying for Licensure
To apply, contact the state of Georgia at 1-478-207-2440. The application must be submitted to the Board at least 60 days before the next scheduled exam date. Applicants should receive an approval letter approximately 30 days prior to the exam. After the exam, passing candidates will receive their licenses in approximately six weeks.
Exam Details
- The testing company is AMP (1-800-345-6559)
- Only offered three times per year and open book
- 140 questions and an 8-hour time limit
- The exam is divided into two parts with 4 hours for each half. Thirty questions are Business and Law type questions and 110 are technical questions. It is all multiple-choice.
- 70% is required to pass the exam
