Requirements To Obtain an South Carolina Plumber’s License

General contractors in the state of South Carolina must hold a general contractor license prior to bidding on any Commercial or commercial project that exceeds $20,000. All plumbing, HVAC/R, and electrical work requires a license. 

You must pass the Business and Law exam, provide a financial statement, proof of a bond, and proof of worker’s compensation insurance. You will also need to provide references who can detail your work experience.
