Requirements to Fulfill Tennessee Responsible Beer Vendor Training Program (2 Hours)
To become a certified beer vendor in Tennessee, you must:
- Complete a TABC-approved Responsible Beer Vendor training program within 61 days of being hired
- Provide your employer with a certificate of completion
- Ensure that all certified clerks receive the required training
- Have a permit to sell beer for off-premise consumption from a Tennessee beer board
- Provide employees with instructions approved by the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC)
- Require certified clerks to attend at least one annual meeting
- Maintain employment and training records
- Ensure that clerks wear a name badge with their first name clearly visible while on duty
The Responsible Beer Vendor Certificate is valid for one year and must be renewed annually. You can check the expiration date by logging into your Responsible Training account
