In the state of Wisconsin, in order to obtain building permits to do general construction on one- or two-family dwellings, it is required that a Dwelling Contractor card and a Dwelling Contractor Qualifier card be obtained. Our state-approved initial training course consists of 200 graded questions that equal 12 hours of course credit. This was my first experience with required training for licensing in the state of Wisconsin. I found the material to be helpful and seems to be paced right to the 12hr timeframe so far. Like some others stated, one piece of feedback, I wish the website gave you the option of completing the required “quiz” questions for a particular topic, right after you completed the learning portion for that topic, vs having to complete all of learning sections and then taking all of the individual quiz’s. It would have made it more doable for me as I completing the training in my free time over the course of a week or so.
