  Requirements To Obtain a Nevada Equipment Contractor (C-38) License

  In Nevada (NV), the pursuit of a successful career as a contractor necessitates obtaining the appropriate state license for various types of construction work. As part of the licensure process, candidates are required to successfully pass two examinations: the general Business and Law or “CMS” examination, as well as the trade-specific exam. Or, must be represented by someone else with the necessary experience and skills, who serves as their qualifying individual. The contractor or other person who will act as the qualifying individual must have had, within the fifteen years immediately before the filing of the application, at least four full years of experience at a journeyman level, or as a foreman, supervisor, or contractor in the classification for which you are applying. 
  4. The experience must be documented on an experience affidavit submitted with the license application after passing the required examinations.
