Getting A Plumbing License
You must have one of two plumbing licenses to become a plumber in Florida: a certified plumbing contractor’s license or a registered plumbing contractor’s license. - 18 years of age
- Proof of good financial standing, including a minimum 660 FICO credit score
- Submitting electronic fingerprints
- Proof of insurance; The minimum general liability insurance that is required for licensure is $100,000 for bodily injury and $25,000 for property damage
- Completing the application and paying the application and/or licensing fees
- Applicants must document four years of experience
